In my oil painting of Blackthorn Blossom, the delicate white flowers burst into focus at the front, their soft petals almost tangible, releasing a subtle, sweet fragrance. The loose brushstrokes capture their fleeting beauty. Behind, the forest floor glows with muted purples and violets of decaying leaves, while the mossy green of a distant tree melts into the background, out of focus, enhancing the serene and dreamy atmosphere of the scene.
